Security is our watchword

NISS boasts a fully functional library equipped with relevant collections of books and study materials that can satisfy the needs of course Participants. The library which opens by 08:00 hours and closes at 22:00 hours, always has a library attendant available within these periods to assist those wishing to access the facility. The library can currently sit 35 readers at a time and the serenity of the environment makes it ideal for students to conduct research. The Institute seizes every opportunity to stock the library with current works/literature for the upliftment of academic study/research.

Our Courses

Executive Intelligence Management Course

The Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) is designed to provide strategic level security/intelligence officers, as well as top level management with the requisite skills to handle their positions and contribute positively in the implementation of national security policies and national development.

Security Consciousness Training

The National Institute for Security Studies in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) conducts security consciousness training for Federal and State Security administrators. This training is structured in categories to cater for all cadres of security administrators.

Specialized Courses

The National Institute for Security Studies also runs specialized courses on critical National and Regional issues. Courses are designed in response to emerging challenges to national security and development.

 Library services

The National Institute for Security Studies boost of a renowed Library service committed to the provision of bespoke offerings to participants and the general public. The Library has resources onsite and online for an unrestricted access to teaching, learning and research. The Library has some research resources that are easily accessible to particpants.
